Therapy

Therapy differs from psychiatry

In that it uses words and actions to treat the brain, not medication.

Examples of therapy modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Supportive psychotherapy (also known as talk therapy), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (also known as psychoanalysis) and group and family therapy.

To begin therapeutic treatment

Patients may benefit from a full evaluation by a psychiatrist to determine the modality of the therapy that may be necessary for the patient..
