Is a psychiatric condition that disrupts how your brain works, interfering with your thoughts, memory, senses and behaviors.
Addictions can be behavioral
(Such as gambling or dieting addictions) or substantive (such as alcohol or nicotine).
Symptoms of addiction vary but generally include a lack of control, an intense focus
on the action or substance, lack of control, increased tolerance, and an influx
of personal and health problems.
Treatment for addiction may include therapy
Hospitalization, medication, rehabilitation, and/or support groups.
